Recently i've been informed that one the amendments of the new Romanian Constitution consists in adding the shield (coat of arms) on the national flag.
Personally i'm neither for or against this amendament.
But i do wish that a very important national symbol will be added in the future to the Romanian coat of arms. And that is our symbol of sovereignty and independence: the Steel Crown !
Althow considered by many (not so well informed) people, a monarchic symbol ... itīs actually more than that
It's value, it's symbolism, transcends concepts such as "monarchy" or "republic". The Steel Crown is first of all our proof to other nations of this Earth that we are a independent nation and not just any nation, but one that has earned it's freedom through sacrifice, through the blood of our ancestors which fought and died so now we may live and be free !
Other ex-communist countries of Eastern Europe, such as Russia, Georgia, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia and Albania, have their crown on their coat of arms, while being republics. So if others just like us can respect their history and past, why can't our "beloved" politicians respect our glorious Romanian history and past ?! For which reason do they think we voted them ? So they can become morbidly fat while sitting in those luxurious Parliament seats and do nothing ? Or to actually make difference, to actually change things for the better in this country ?!
I don't think we ask too much. And "change" can happen only if those who rule us, respect the past and undo the injustices.
So, "dear" politicians, start by putting the Steel Crown where it belongs ... on the Romanian shield !
